Providing a safe, respectful space for adults to overcome anxiety, nurture self-worth, and find healing through Emotional Freedom Techniques.

In-person therapy in Wangaratta, Victoria and online across Australia

Welcome

If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn next, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I’m Leah Walker, a Strengths-based Counsellor offering a calm, non-judgemental space where you can pause, breathe, and begin to make sense of what’s been weighing on you.

Whether we meet in-person in Wangaratta, Victoria or through online across Australia, our sessions are guided by warmth, respect, and understanding.

My role is to walk alongside you — helping you explore what’s happening beneath the surface and develop practical strategies that support real, lasting change. Together, we can work toward greater calm, confidence, and self-trust.

How I Can Support You

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, stress, emotional overwhelm, and low self-esteem. You might have been managing for a long time — holding everything together even when life feels heavier than it should. Over time, that kind of strength can take its toll. Therapy offers a space to untangle your thoughts and emotions, understand yourself more clearly, and begin to move forward in ways that feel sustainable and kind. Through Counselling, we’ll explore gentle, practical steps to bring balance back into your daily life — helping you reconnect with the sense of calm and ease you’ve been missing.

My Approach

Every person’s story is unique, so your sessions will be too.

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or Tapping), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused Therapy, and Walk and Talk Therapy.

These approaches help calm the body, clarify the mind, and strengthen your ability to manage challenges.

At the heart of my work is a belief that you already carry the strength and capacity to heal. My role is to help you uncover those strengths and use them to create meaningful, lasting change.

Why Clients Choose to Work With Me

Clients often tell me they feel safe, understood, and supported in our sessions. I bring authenticity, compassion, and curiosity to my work, meeting you exactly where you are. The pace will always suit you, and your goals will guide our time together. You can expect a space where you’ll be truly heard — a space to explore your experiences, build strategies that fit your life, and find a sense of hope that things can feel different.

A Little About Me

My background includes working in community, not-for-profit, and rehabilitation settings, where I’ve supported people from all walks of life. These experiences shaped how I practice today — with warmth, respect, and deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support. I have a particular passion for supporting people living with anxiety owing to lived experience as a survivor and carer, and anxiety is a common experience for most people. We all have times of anxiety at some point in our lives; it is when it begins to affect our lives that we must act.

I’m a Bachelor-qualified Counsellor, certified in EFT, and trained in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Grief and Loss.

Whether we meet in-person in Wangaratta or through online therapy anywhere in Australia, you’ll find a calm and caring environment that supports your growth and self-understanding.
